Tana Velen, Owner

Tana launched Day Of Wedding Nola & Events after spending nearly a decade planning and managing events professionally for nonprofits.

During that time, she saw many of her friends struggle in the days leading up to their weddings and noticed that too often, they would be buried under the weight of decisions yet to be made. Tana decided to use her events experience to help out and it wasn't long before the idea for Day Of Wedding Nola & Events was born. 

Weddings and special events are the times in life when people permit themselves to be happy for a few uninterrupted hours. Let us deal with the stress so you can spend every moment being IN the moment.

When not event planning, Tana enjoys reading, writing, hiking, and having one-sided conversations with her two very agreeable dogs. 

Marissa Hogan, Wedding Coordinator

Marissa Hogan has worked in hospitality/tourism and event management for over 10 years. She worked for various Hilton and Marriott hotels implementing events within their food and beverage outlets. She also has experience in the nonprofit sector working to support and oversee events. 

Currently, Marissa works as the Operations Manager for Wednesday at the Square with a team of volunteers and production members. She has worked for events in New Orleans like Super Bowl LIX, New Orleans Food and Wine Experience, and Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon. She has a B.A. in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University and an M.S. in Executive Leadership with a focus on Hospitality/Tourism.
